The DMCA
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) creates a standardized process for copyright holders to notify online service providers when they believe their copyrighted work is being used without authorization.
Merakairos Media LLC respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users, clients, members, contributors, and visitors of our websites, platforms, media channels, communities, and services to do the same.
This DMCA Policy explains how copyright owners may submit a takedown notice to Merakairos Media LLC and how affected users may submit a counter notice if they believe content was removed or disabled by mistake.
This policy is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. If you have questions about your rights, obligations, or legal options, we strongly encourage you to consult with a qualified attorney before submitting a DMCA notice or counter notice.
Accurate Information
The DMCA requires that certain statements in a notice of claimed infringement or counter notice be made under penalty of perjury. It is important that all information you submit is truthful, accurate, and complete.
Submitting false, misleading, or bad-faith claims may result in legal consequences, including potential civil liability.
Investigate Before Submitting a Notice
Submitting a DMCA takedown notice is a serious legal action that can impact another person’s content, business, brand, or creative work.
Before submitting a DMCA notice to Merakairos Media LLC, please make sure you have conducted a good-faith investigation and considered whether the use may be authorized by the copyright owner, protected by law, or otherwise permissible.
When appropriate, you may also consider contacting the user or party directly before submitting a formal takedown request.
No Automated Bots
Merakairos Media LLC requests that all DMCA takedown notices be reviewed by a trained professional or authorized representative before submission.
Please do not submit notices through automated bots, mass-generated complaints, or bulk systems that do not involve a meaningful review of the specific facts. Invalid or incomplete notices may delay processing or may not be acted upon.
